Description

I suggest a simple enhancement for the Free Form search. If enabled by the user, each word in the search textbox will be automatically truncated (ie the word root is used) in the search. This will (1) cause the Free Form search to mimic Google better (and many users know only Google!), and (2) the user does not need to know the wildcard symbol for truncation ($ or * or ? etc, according to the search engine used).

My script will check whether the user has already entered the truncation symbol, and also ticked the checkbox to enable truncation of each word. In this case, the script will not add further truncation symbols.

Some screen shots are attached, also amended files. English only; if my suggestion is accepted, I am happy to translate to other language versions.
