Criteria for use in REBRAC
A controlled vocabulary can be integrated in the user interface of REBRAC if, and only if, all the following conditions are met:
- The terms (entries) of the vocabulary are available in English (EN), Spanish (ES) and Portuguese (PT)
- The full content of the vocabulary is available
- for download in a documented and structured data format or
- through a documented and stable Web service
- The REBRAC team at Fiocruz has or obtains formal permission to
- allow registered users to browse the vocabulary through the REBRAC user interface and
- allow registered users to select terms for use as descriptors in clinical trial records and
- copy to the REBRAC servers the necessary entries in batch or online mode and
- allow anyone to export published trial records with the vocabulary terms embedded as descriptors
Vocabularies that do not meet all of the above criteria may be recommended to users in the help text of the relevant fields and in the REBRAC operating procedures documentation, but cannot be integrated in the user interface of REBRAC.
